Billings Motorsports
Foundation, Inc. - Mission Statement
Billings Motorsports Foundation Inc, is a non-profit foundation
funded and run by local enthusiasts to develop and support Motorsports
in the community.
Funds contributed to this non-profit Foundation have gone
toward promoting and developing motorsports at BMP and indirectly
promoting any form of motorsports no matter who provides the
facilities. One of our initial goals will be recognition of contributors
to the Foundation's fund raising programs. In addition the Foundation
is available to any race group wishing assistance in developing
their sport. As the specifics of this new Mission Statement are
developed, they will be posted on this site. See below for how
some of your contributed dollars will be an integral part of
developing Motorsports.
The Foundation vs BMP LLC
As construction of Phase I of BMP becomes a reality, the Foundation
has revising its goals in line with promoting of motorsports
in the community both at BMP and as determined by the Board,
who represent all forms of motorsports. The construction and
operation of the BMP facility is funded by the BMP LLC who has
their own Officers and Board, independent of the Foundation.
Foundation contributions in time and money have made the development
of motorsports in this community possible and this will continue
as motorsports are developed throughout the area. A recent example
was Flattrack Racing.where the Foundation
introduced this group to BMP LLC as a possible sport to run on
the new BMP Speedway. The result, their first race is scheduled
for August 3, 2003 with the potential for more racing in future
years.
See BMPNews.
- On the financial front, the Foundation has leased the
Grandstands purchased from Sears Point to BMP, LLC who owns and
operates Billings Motorsports Park. The Grandstands are now assembled
at the BMP Speedway that opened June
28, 2003. Lease fees will used to support the Foundations continuing
goal of development and promoting motorsports in the community.

to dismantling.
